About Us
Gerald the Woodturner, the Man behind Woodturning Tools by JE
Our Story, How We Got Here
Gerald Rensen founded Jesse Engineering in the late 90’s. Using his knowledge of tool making and engineering the company has worked hard to provide it’s clients with no fuss solutions to any problems they’ve approached us with. The company is proudly Australian owned and run by the Rensen family on the Gold Coast – over the years it has expanded it’s capabilities to include a suite of manufacturing capabilities, in addition to being sought after for general consultancy work in the product development and engineering fields.
FROM METALWORKER TO WOODTURNER
As the company has grown so did Gerald’s hobbies & interests and he began to woodturn which has lead to him now being an avide woodturner. Not completely satisfied with the woodturning tools available online and through his known networks, Gerald started to develop his own woodturning tools – by utilising the years of tool making experience he has, the in house capabilities of Jesse Engineering and the desired results from his woodturning activities. This has lead to the development of a wide range of different woodturning tools and accessories which we now wish to share with the wider woodturner community to allow experienced woodturners to turn better and novice woodturners to learn quicker.
